Day 5: Red Bus Tour to International Peace Park, Waterton, Canada & Babb Supper Club

Neil and I in front of the Red Bus right before we departed on our trip across the border!

Can you see what is behind the bush??????

If you guessed a bear than you were right! We saw 3 bears on our red bus trip, all in Glacier National Park, thankfully we did not encounter any on our hike yesterday!

Welcome to Canada ehhh!

This is one of the two international border pillars, if you can see that line of grass where there is no wooded area, this a natural border. Canada and the US have the longest natural border in the world and it continues on the other side of the road. The US maintains the border 5 years at time and then Canada maintains the border the next 5 years and so on...

Welcome to Alberta, Canada!

This was where we stopped and had lunch on our tour, at the Prince of Wales Hotel. Although apparently no royalty has ever stayed here.

This is the view behind the Hotel, it was absolutely gorgeous. We were there on a not so windy day and the winds were blowing at least 10 mph. It was a surreal feeling how windy it was! I wish you all could see how clear the water was, it makes MN lakes and rivers look pitiful!

This is the view from inside the hotel of the same pictured above, what a beautiful place to have lunch.

Sorry for the blurriness but this Neil in front of the Welcome to Waterton sign.

That's Jim our Red Bus Tour guide, he was awesome. His wife and himself travel to different parts of the world different times a year and provide tours for tourists! Once he feels like he's" working" he moves onto a new place.

Welcome back to the United States, thankfully we all made it through customs just fine!

Jim suggested we have dinner at the Babb Cattle Baron Supper Club, they have the 4th best rated steak in the US. Located on the BlackFoot Indian Reservation, and the beef was from the local ranch a few miles away!

I ordered a smaller cut, the filet of Tenderloin, let me tell you the food was amazing. Expensive but worth every single penny! It makes all other steak I have eaten seem pathetic. I would drive out to Babb, MT again just for this steak!

American Indian artwork was everywhere in the restaurant and was beautiful. The supper club looks a little sketchy from the outside but has a completely different atmosphere inside!

There was large mural on the far wall and some bark/nature material underneath the mural that made it look like real wildlife. The buffalo head was neat was well!
